Fighting...Like Dogs And Cats

Gwendolyn is embroiled in a bitter battle with the pug next door. I believe she blames him for the hole in the front yard. The neighbors have done their best to back my explanation that the hole is the responsibility of the German Shepherd down the street, but she isn’t having any of it.
Next, we attempted to discuss the matter with the pug, but his feelings have, apparently, been hurt deeply. Seeking satisfaction appears to be all that is on what little mind this small dog possesses.
We feel we have done our best to settle matters in both Gwendolyn’s and the pug’s best interests, but the battle rages on.
I don’t know...it’s like they’re speaking different languages.

Stay the course! Though all evidence points to the contrary, Gwendolyn's continued involvement will win her this battle, and indeed the war. Perhaps she needs a surge.

Thanks for the support. Gwendolyn has even added a new weapon to her arsenal. Perhaps they can use it to sign the treaty, as well.

The insight gained over the last 10 years of being on the housekeeping staff of a cat myself, I wish to convey my deepest sympathies to the family of the pug.
Gwendolyn wouldn't happen to consider a temporary outside assignment, would she? I'm afraid Miss Kitty is considering a pre-emptive strike on a bear who is turning most of our apples into big piles of, you know, bear stuff in our back yard. She might be able to use some experienced help.

As soon as she dispenses with the pug, I will dispatch Gwendolyn to Miss Kitty's aid. She says she'd be happy to help, as long as she doesn't have to change her name to Dillon.

Perhaps Gwen dug the hole herself in hopes that the Pug AND/OR the German Shepherd would be blamed. That way, she could have congress declare war on the dogs and no one would be the wiser unless the block ambassador and his operative wife start "digging" around asking questions.

I wondered the same thing, but when I approached her about it, she simply replied, "Tony Snow will make a statement at a later date."

I've had the same experience with Mr. Furby. He has always been blamed as the one who starts the fights.
