Male Call

My name is Sal Manila,
An envelope by trade.
Not a life for anyone
Who's squeamish or afraid.
I've carried plans to Presidents
And Generals and Kings.
I've heard their talk of poverty
And war and secret things.
Yes, it's true I've traveled far,
By air and sea and rail.
But, oh, the way you lick my stamps,
It makes me glad I'm mail.

Now there's a stamp I'd be proud to put on an envelope!

Legally, I don't think they can be released until the moose dies; I'll keep you posted.

You know, I never thought about the romantic overtones of the way I lick my stamps. And now that I think about it, I'd rather keep it that way. Hooray for self-adhesives!

I know what you mean. I haven't had a popsicle in years.

I can think of several responses to this...none of them appropriate. So, thanks for commenting.

Actually, you can have the Moose made into a stamp. The stamps are about a dollar apiece but think of how it would look on all those lovely envelopes.....you may want to consider self-adhesives.

That might actually be worth it. Thanks!

I've been feeling rather sluggish since my recent travels (actually, like my brain is made of oatmeal). I stopped over here hoping to be perked up a little. This is the first post I read... looks like I am off to a good start.

Yes, if your brain feels like oatmeal, my blog is a terrific stopping point.
