Let Out A Roar!
Having been honored over the holidays, by Merry, with a ROAR Award (award can be viewed at her blog), I am obligated to reveal 3 writing tips. While the choices are unlimited, really, these were the first that came to mind.

I find the quill tip appropriate when corresponding with royalty, or when writing to one of my pirate friends. Parchment lends a nice touch on these occasions.

For jotting a quick note, or making a grocery list, the ballpoint tip offers convenience and efficiency.

If I’m feeling particularly bold, or have a package or manila envelope to address, I invariably reach for a felt tip.
Now, the rules further state that I must bestow this award on 5 more unsuspecting victi…er, honorees. In no particular order, they would be:
Montucky, whose prose is as colorful and descriptive as his photographs.
Shelly, who reads as well as she writes. Not being facetious here…this is a serious compliment.
Wolf, who tends to exaggerate and entertain, all to our benefit.
FF&F, ever inspirational and upbeat, even in a crowd of cynics.
Jen/domestika can dazzle, tantalize and instruct without changing sentences.
Do what you will with the award…but, I understand there’s only one, so you’ll have to remember to share.

Thanks for the shout--ROAR--out, Pinhole and for the kind words.
I can think of the bloggers I want to name, but how am I going to come up with any decent writing tips when you have covered them all so well?

My pleasure, FF&F.
I'm confident you'll think of something.

Why, thank you, Pinhole! ...I'll be using a purple crayon to draft up my award acceptance speech. But what to wear???

Purple crayon! I knew I'd left out a vital piece of information!
You're welcome. And I believe a body is always safe wearing any combination of chiffon and burlap.

Oh gee, all out of chiffon! I'll have to whip up something new to go with that leftover shrub-wrap. It'll be a few days before I can get that purple crayon out, but crayon I shall: it just wouldn't do to ignore a Pinhole ROAR...

Thanks for thinking of me. I will give much serious thought to my response. Especially when I try to deal with the fact that you nominated half of my first choices!

You're welcome, Wolf. Sorry about taking your picks, but the early bird...well, you know.

Thanks for the kind words, Pinhole, as well as those writing tips. I will use one or more because what they all do is correctable with plenty of "White-out". My kind of tips!

You're welcome, Montucky. I'm glad someone found them useful.

I left a little tribute to you! I am nowhere as good as you, but hopefully you will deem it worthy to read!

Thank you, Silken, and I'm sure your tributes are much better than any I could manufacture. But, if it's on communati, I haven't been able to access that site from my home computer for over a month. I check it from work once in awhile, though, and if I can't get to it from the house I'll check it first thing Monday morning.
Thanks, in advance!

That's why none of my pirate friends ever write back!!! (Note to self, buy a quill).
Lovely tips, pinhole. Thanks for playing.

That's what I've been doing wrong. Using the improper pen, no wonder I can't sell any of my novels.

I'm surprised no one advised you sooner. Yes, utensil choice is vital. Though, if you've written a novel, regardless of tip choice, you're at least one up on me.
Good luck with the publishing thing, and thanks for visiting! Feel free to look around!

Is that just your ordinary pirate or the black bearded type? One cannot be too careful when deciding on the right writing instrument.
I liked your response to the challenge

Thanks, Suejeff. All of my friends are pretty much your ordinary, run-of-the-mill type pirates.
I sure hope you're doing well, and thanks a lot for visiting.
