A Valentine Verse
Your eyes are just like limpid pools,
Of this, no more I’ll speak,
’Cause I don’t know what limpid means;
Unless it’s “Swamp”, in Greek.
They say your body’s heavenly,
A marvel to behold.
Warm’s the side that sees the sun,
The farther side is cold.
Your knowledge knows no boundaries,
The subject matter blends.
Your mind is like a tapestry…
It’s fraying at the ends.
And I’m still single…No, really!

Very romantic. You just haven't found the right woman yet. I would stay away from limpids in your search, though.

Thanks, Wolf, for what appears to be sound advice.

Now....attach this poem to one long stem rose and take it to your friend with the snake...bingo......Happy Valentine's Day!

I'm afraid that friend is no longer among the living, and I'm not willing to go that far, yet, just for a date on St. Valentine's Day.

That's a great verse! You ought to write for Hallmark, although I have to wonder if they're quite ready for you yet.

Thanks, Montucky. But, I kind of doubt they'll ever be ready for me.

Sounds like you are describing Ma Kettle, in a romantic manner of course!

Perhaps my describer is broken. "Yep...gonna have to fix that one o' these daaays."

You're still single? I can't believe it.
You must just be too choosy.

No, but conventional wisdom says I must be lucky in cards.

Unfortunately, I'm taken. However, I could let you know when our next poker night is!

I only play for Cheez-Its. How many boxes should I bring?
